CUSTOMS MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE

Customs Manager is a key position to provide the best service of customs clearance and brokerage. This

position mainly supports external customers by providing guideline and ensuring that all customs related

documents are stored accurately and in compliance with company regulations and proceeding the custom

clearance process follow by the law and regulation

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Participate in operation strategy initiative and provide insight information about customs information

* Provide guidance to internal and external parties on customs regulations, customs procedures,

government/customs incentive programs and the required documentation

* Ensure that correctness of declarations are made on behalf of customers, whilst satisfying the legislation

set by customs, GST laws and other regulatory agencies

* Ensure that entries are cleared in accordance with Customs compliance agreements

* Ensure clearance authority held, and clearance is completed in accordance with the owner’s instructions

• Assist other teams with technical terms of custom clearance document preparation

 + Attend meetings with sales and customers to discuss best strategy, most suitable customs procedure and

possible government/customs incentive programs for the set-up of a new import or export operation

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Customs, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
• Obtaining a Custom Broker License is a must
• Strong knowledge of Thai Customs regulations, Import & Export procedures and Trade Compliance.5+ years experienced in custom clearance role
• Experience in Customs privilege / BOI / Free Zone / Bonded Warehouse would be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of HS Code classification, Customs valuation, duty & tax calculation and relevant customs documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills with customers, internal teams, customs brokers and government authorities.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Excel and experience with logistics or customs-related systems.
• Proven team management skills are a plus
