Customs Entry Specialist

💰 $21–$22/hour

📅 6+ Month Contract | Potential Extension or Conversion

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Specialist to support customs brokerage and import operations for a portfolio of client accounts. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in Customs Entries, import documentation, customs clearance, and customer service who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Customs Entries and coordinate OGA/PGA requirements for shipment clearance.
• Open and process entry files according to established KPIs and service standards.
• Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and other partners .
• Review entry documentation to ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Support compliance requirements involving agencies such as CBP, FDA, EPA, FCC, and USDA/F&W .
• Track and trace inbound shipments and coordinate final delivery to customers/consignees.
• Provide customer service and respond to questions and requests for information.
• Complete billing and required operational reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain and update customer SOPs as needed.
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting productivity, compliance, and service KPIs.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of experience in customs brokerage, customs clearance, import operations, or a related field.
• Experience processing or supporting Customs Entries strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required .
• Customs House Brokerage (CHB) License preferred but not required.
• Experience with CW1 or CMUS is a plus.

This is a fully onsite position in Valley Stream, NY. Local candidates only.
