Customs Specialist

• Managing import and export customs operations
• Preparing and verifying documentation required for customs formalities
• Handling administrative tasks related to document flow, record-keeping, and archiving
• Liaising with customs authorities, tax authorities, and customs offices
• Providing support to other company departments regarding customs regulations
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all customs transactions
• Identifying customs-related risks and proposing mitigation measures
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable customs laws and regulations in Romania

Ideal Candidate

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite
• Familiarity with import, export, and transit procedures, as well as special customs regimes, with a focus on the textile industry
• Experience liaising with customs authorities and other relevant institutions
• Knowledge of goods tariff classification (TARIC codes), rules of origin, and customs valuation
• Experience in preparing and verifying customs documentation (commercial invoices, CMR, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.)
• Knowledge of customs legislation and recent industry updates
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan tasks independently
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and work under time pressure
• Category B driving license – mandatory
• Conversational English skills
