Customs Specialist

Responsibilities

• Responsible for import and export classification, market access risk assessment, and customs clearance process management in Serbia; familiar with HS codes and product regulatory certifications.
• Handle customs clearance exceptions, provide timely feedback and coordination, and optimize clearance efficiency while ensuring compliance.
• Monitor changes in customs policies and tariff rates, conduct risk assessments and early warnings, provide internal and external customs consulting, and promptly update HS codes and tariff information.
• Responsible for reviewing customs clearance documents, handling duty/tax statements, tracking inspections, and maintaining related records.
• Manage warehouse operations including inbound and outbound goods, stocktaking, and inventory registration.
• Ensure implementation of local company policies and systems, and support HR and administrative tasks such as onboarding/offboarding, personnel file maintenance, visa processing, and attendance management.
• Handle office procurement, asset management, and logistics support, and complete other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or above.
• At least 3 years of experience in customs clearance within an international logistics company or customs brokerage firm is preferred.
• Able to communicate in English, and capable of understanding English documents.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to efficiently complete tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Good team player with the ability to quickly integrate into a team environment.
