2nd shift 4 pm – 12 am

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to cut, measure and/or wrap rolls of broadloom carpet or vinyl
• Inspect rolls for processing (cut tape, load core, pull tickets).
• Process roll into AS400 and Alcon system by using hand-held scan gun.
• Inspect product for defects, damage, correct width and color/style and make necessary quality decisions.
• Be able to follow system instructions for reverse rolls
• Must understand quality standards and color codes
• Print and apply tickets and labels for identifications purposes.
• Observe operations of the equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Replace worn blades and tape rolls
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Basic Computer skills
• Ability to read and write in standard English and numbers
• Some mechanical ability preferred
• Good attention to detail required
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others
• Ability to apply common sense in understanding how to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
• Must have valid lift truck license or complete lift truck certification
• Physical ability to reach, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
