Cyber Defense Engineering

• Design and improve cyber defense, monitoring, and response capabilities.
• Evaluate security technologies and operational effectiveness.
• Develop technical standards, procedures, and documentation.

Detection Engineering & Threat Analytics

• Develop detection use cases and analytics based on threat intelligence and attack trends.
• Analyze security events and improve visibility through data enrichment and correlation.
• Support threat hunting and incident investigations.

Security Automation & Integration

• Build automated workflows and system integrations to improve security operations.
• Use scripting and APIs to reduce manual effort and enhance response capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve scalability and operational efficiency.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, application, and technology teams.
• Provide technical recommendations for cyber defense initiatives.
• Explore emerging threats and technologies, including AI-driven security capabilities.

What Will Set You Up for Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, IT, or a related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity, security operations, detection engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of cyber threats, security monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience with security detection, automation, integration, or engineering solutions.
• Knowledge of network, system, cloud, and enterprise security.
• Scripting or programming skills for automation and integration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Experience in threat intelligence, threat hunting, advanced detection, or security automation.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards.
• Experience applying AI, machine learning, or data analytics to cybersecurity.
• Relevant cybersecurity, cloud security, or security operations certifications.
