The specialist owns the front of the intelligence cycle: gather information, verify it, structure it, and hand it upstream in a form the analysts can act on the same day. Collection discipline is the job — provenance recorded, handling documented, nothing free-styled. Quality assurance is a standing duty: a missed threat or a poisoned capture both land on the client, so specialists intercept both upstream — in the coverage plan, the verification pass and the enrichment step. You will maintain the capture record that lets any indicator we act on be reconstructed source by source, on demand, in front of a client or counsel. Specialists also carry institutional responsibility for the tooling bench: building collectors and parsers that outlive individual engagements, documenting them so colleagues can operate them, and training the intern pipeline on lawful collection method.
