Cyber Security Advisor

About the role

As a Cyber Security Advisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering enterprise security programs across defense, critical infrastructure, mission systems security, and sovereign capability.

What you'll be doing

• Leading Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives, developing and maintaining critical security documentation across multiple high-assurance programs, supporting certification, accreditation, and risk-based decision making aligned with Australian Government and international security frameworks
• Development of security risk management plans, maintenance of risk register, implementation of risk management policy and procedure
• Incident Response and threat landscape planning, identifying emerging risks and analysing systems for vulnerabilities against state level threats using MITRE ATT&CK frameworks
• Conduct post-incident reviews and comprehensive cyber security and systems assessments

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity advisory GRC or technical SOC role
• Strong technical expertise in areas such as network security, endpoint protection, cloud security
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (ISM, DSPF, PSPF NIST, ISO, Essential 8)
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities in often high-pressure secure environments
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, IRAP, ISO Lead Auditor are highly desirable
