The Opportunity

Robert Half is partnering with a major Western Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Cyber Security Analyst - Cloud and IAM.

This is an opportunity for a cyber security professional with specialist expertise in cloud security, identity governance and risk management to take a leading role in strengthening enterprise security capabilities.

Working closely with technology teams, senior stakeholders and external security partners, you will be responsible for improving cloud security frameworks, managing identity and access risks, and embedding security controls across technology projects and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of cloud security governance frameworks, standards and controls.
• Conduct cloud security risk assessments, compliance reviews and assurance activities.
• Strengthen identity and access management capabilities, including authentication, authorisation, privileged access and identity governance.
• Lead improvements across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 security environments.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of MFA, PAM, PIM and Zero Trust security principles.
• Ensure alignment with Essential Eight, Australian Government ISM, NIST CSF and organisational security policies.
• Provide specialist cyber security advice throughout technology projects, solution design and delivery.
• Identify security vulnerabilities, control weaknesses and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Prepare cyber security risk reports and recommendations for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external security partners to support security monitoring, incident management and cyber resilience.
• Support cyber security awareness and education initiatives across the organisation.

About You

You will be an experienced cyber security professional with strong expertise in cloud security, identity and access management and security governance within a complex organisational environment.

You will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related discipline.
• Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) certification.
• Significant specialist experience in cloud security, IAM and cyber security governance.
• Strong experience securing Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining cloud security frameworks, standards and controls.
• Practical experience implementing MFA, PAM, PIM and Zero Trust security capabilities.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, security assurance reviews and cyber security uplift initiatives.
• Knowledge of Essential Eight, ISM, NIST CSF and contemporary cyber security practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate security risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Experience influencing technical decisions and delivering security improvements across enterprise environments.

Experience with CSPM, SSPM, identity governance platforms, secure-by-design practices or security within regulated, government or critical infrastructure environments will be highly regarded.

Additional relevant certifications, including AZ-500, SC-100 and CCSP, will also be advantageous.

Applicants must hold a current Australian driver's licence, be able to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC), and be willing to undertake occasional travel within Western Australia.
