Cyber Security Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to deploy, integrate, and support Endpoint/XDR, Firewall, and SIEM solutions for enterprise clients across the Gulf. This is a full-time role based in Cairo, Egypt, with travel to KSA & GCC when required, reporting to the Cybersecurity Team Leader. The position is open at two levels (Mid-Level and Senior), with the level decided by experience and interview results.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and tune Endpoint/XDR, NGFW, and SIEM solutions, from design (HLD/LLD) to handover
• Plan and execute rollouts and migrations in large environments, including agent deployment, policy hardening, and rollback plans
• Integrate security tools: onboard log sources into the SIEM, build and tune correlation rules and use cases, and integrate XDR with firewalls and identity sources (AD / Entra ID)
• Troubleshoot technical issues, handle client escalations, and perform health checks, upgrades, and policy optimization
• Produce technical documentation (HLD/LLD, runbooks, handover reports) and deliver knowledge transfer to client teams

Senior level, in addition:

• Act as technical lead: scope the work, estimate effort, plan phases, and own delivery quality
• Support pre-sales: solution design, BOQs, RFP responses, PoCs, and demos
• Present project status and technical findings to client management

Requirements

• Experience:

Mid-Level: 3-5 years hands-on in security implementation and integration

Senior: 5+ years hands-on, including at least 2 years as technical lead on projects

• Hands-on experience with at least two of the following:

Endpoint/XDR: Cortex XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

Firewalls: Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet

SIEM: Cortex XSIAM, IBM QRadar, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel

• Vendor certifications in the areas above (backed by hands-on experience):

Mid-Level: at least one

Senior: at least two

• Good understanding of identity integration: Active Directory / Entra ID, MFA, SSO
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VPN, DNS) and Windows/Linux administration
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
• Good written and spoken English, and willingness to travel
• Nice to have: IAM/PAM platforms (CyberArk, Okta), scripting (Python / PowerShell), and knowledge of NCA ECC / SAMA CSF
