Cybersecurity Engineer – Fresher | Job Description

Position: Cybersecurity Engineer – Fresher

Experience: 0–1 Year

Location: Hyderabad

Employment: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts, logs, and network activity.
• Assist in identifying and responding to security incidents.
• Perform basic vulnerability assessment and security testing.
• Support endpoint, network, and cloud security operations.
• Investigate suspicious activities and prepare incident reports.
• Follow cybersecurity best practices and security policies.
• Work with senior security engineers to resolve security issues.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of Cybersecurity fundamentals, TCP/IP, networking, Linux and Windows.
• Basic knowledge of SIEM, SOC operations, firewalls, IDS/IPS and vulnerability assessment.
• Familiarity with Python or scripting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of common security threats, OWASP and ethical hacking concepts.
• Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility:

• B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/MCA in Cybersecurity, CSE, IT or related fields.
• Freshers with relevant projects, certifications or hands-on labs are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Certifications:

• CompTIA Security+, CEH, Google Cybersecurity Certificate or equivalent.
