Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cyber Security Engineer role based in Colombo. The Cyber Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls to protect the company’s networks, systems, and data. Daily responsibilities include monitoring security events, performing vulnerability assessments, managing security tools, and responding to incidents. The role involves collaborating with IT and business teams to secure applications, enforce information security policies, and support compliance with relevant standards. The Cyber Security Engineer will also contribute to security awareness initiatives and recommend improvements to the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security to design and maintain comprehensive security frameworks.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Security to secure local and cloud-based network infrastructure and related devices.
• Candidates should possess skills in Application Security to protect web and internal applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Candidates should possess skills in Vulnerability Assessment to identify, analyze, and help remediate security weaknesses.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, and incident response processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an on-site, collaborative environment.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or similar are beneficial.
