Akkodis is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to support the launch and delivery of vehicle cyber security technologies into manufacturing environments.
This is a highly practical, hands-on role where you'll be the cyber security expert on site, working directly with production teams, suppliers and engineering functions to investigate issues, implement fixes and ensure vehicles can successfully progress through build and release activities.
You'll play a key role during vehicle launches, acting as the bridge between plant operations, ECU suppliers and central engineering teams whilst helping to resolve complex cyber security issues in real time.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the launch of vehicle cyber security features across new vehicle programmes
- Analysing vehicle, ECU and End-of-Line (EOL) logs to diagnose cyber-related build issues
- Leading issue investigation, triage, root cause analysis and resolution activities
- Implementing and validating fixes on vehicles and test rigs
- Debugging using CANoe, Wireshark and Corvus
- Supporting manufacturing and EOL teams with cyber security processes and fault diagnosis
- Producing launch readiness updates, issue reports and containment plans
- Working closely with engineering, validation and supplier teams to prevent recurring issues
What we're looking for:
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- Experience in automotive testing, validation, launch or manufacturing support environments
- Strong hands-on experience with CANoe, Wireshark and vehicle/ECU debugging
- Understanding of vehicle cyber security technologies including SecOC, IPsec and key provisioning
- Experience with CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet and SOME/IP
- Strong problem solving, issue management and root cause analysis skills
- Willingness to travel regularly to UK manufacturing sites
Desirable:
- Vehicle launch, OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing experience
- UDS, DoIP and secure diagnostics knowledge
- AUTOSAR, QNX, HIL or LabCar experience
- Python, CAPL or C programming knowledge
- Familiarity with ISO 21434 and UNECE R155/R156
If you're looking for a role where you can directly influence vehicle launches and solve real-world cyber security challenges in manufacturing environments, we'd love to hear from you.
