Cyber Security Systems Software Engineer

We have a current opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer , on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based at Victoria Barracks, Melbourne . The contract is for an initial 7 month period.

DSS Skill Set: Level 4 - Systems and Software Engineering - System Security (Cyber Security)

The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

• Supporting capability and concept development in context with technical security.
• Supporting security requirements analysis and development.
• Supporting security design and implementation.
• Supporting V&V.
• Supporting security certification / accreditation and support.
• Planning and delivering engineering services, regulatory compliance, resource management and project outcomes.
• Supporting reviews of contract deliverables.
• Authoring, reviewing, and updating technical plans and trial / test plans or instructions.
• Undertaking software and system integration and verification activities including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Authoring, reviewing, and updating technical reports, safety case reports, hazard logs and risk logs.
• Authoring, reviewing, and updating ICT certification documentation.
• Developing Standard Operating Environments (SOEs) that can be hosted in various Operating Systems in accordance with the Guidelines for System Hardening as detailed in the ISM.
• Developing and/or maintaining system architectures including enterprise architectures, interface

Minimum mandatory requirements:

• AGSVA Security Clearance
• Relevant qualifications and industry or 8+ years' experience in relevant industry.
• Demonstrated experience working with CASG with experience and ability to project manage, plan and deliver acquisition activities, deliverables and artefacts in the
• Defence Capability Life Cycle environment.
• Demonstrated communication and stakeholder management skills and experience.
