Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.

We’re offering a permanent role with the chance to shape cyber security strategy and regulation across critical national infrastructure at a time of unprecedented change. You’ll join our Cyber Regulation and Emerging Technologies Directorate, where secure digital and operational technologies are fundamental to the clean energy transition.

With Clean Power 2030 accelerating digitalisation, infrastructure expansion and the arrival of new technologies, you’ll take on a highly specialist role with scope to shape how the energy sector manages supply chains and protects its most important assets.

Job description

We’re looking for someone with significant technical leadership experience in cyber security and critical national infrastructure, combined with the strategic judgement to balance security requirements, risk and wider commercial and economic considerations. You’ll also bring substantial experience of cyber policy or strategy in a regulated environment, accomplished stakeholder leadership skills and the ability to turn complex technical issues into clear advice for senior-level audiences.

You’ll join a high-performing and inclusive environment with a brilliant benefits package, broad exposure to cyber resilience across the energy sector and the chance to make a lasting impact on the security of national infrastructure.

We have a critical purpose to strengthen the cyber resilience of Britain’s energy system and ensure the transition to clean power remains secure in the face of evolving threats. Join us and help protect our most critical assets, strengthen resilience across vital supply chains and ensure the energy system is equipped to detect, respond to and recover from the cyber risks of the future.
