About the role
A technology company developing a digital platform is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to help protect the security of applications, systems, and user data as the business grows.
Key responsibilities
- Review security of applications, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and help the team address them.
- Support cloud security, including user access configuration, authentication, activity logging, and data protection.
- Provide advice to the technical team regarding secure software development practices.
- Help establish security monitoring procedures and incident handling.
- Communicate security findings and recommendations clearly to the team.
About you
- Have experience or practical understanding in cybersecurity, application security, cloud security, or related fields.
- Understand the fundamentals of web and API security, access controls, authentication, and data protection.
- Experience using AWS is a plus.
- Able to work independently and communicate well in a remote team environment.
- Thorough, proactive, and able to explain technical issues in easily understood language.
