What they need
We are a Christian company. We love God, we build our business on Christian values, and we say so openly.
Precision Federal was founded on Christian values. Many of us openly share our faith and pray for one another, as a close-knit community that truly cares about each other. Taking part is always voluntary, and people of every faith and background are welcome.
The role
Every system we deliver to a government agency has to be secure and stay that way. This is broad cybersecurity engineering: securing cloud and on premises systems, finding and fixing weaknesses, writing security documentation, and helping systems earn and keep their authorization.
- Hardening servers, containers and cloud services to STIG or CIS baselines
- Running vulnerability scans and staying with each finding until it is closed
- Reviewing security architectures, including zero trust designs, before they are built
- Writing security plans and supporting assessments and the path to an ATO
- Joining occasional government calls and technical reviews
You're a fit if
- You have 3+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering or a closely related role
- You understand controls, patching and access management in practice
- You are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
It helps if
- You have RMF, ISSM or assessor experience in DoD or federal settings
- You know NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171 or zero trust principles
- You hold a CISSP, Security+ or similar certification
The arrangement
Expect about 10 to 20 hours a week on a 1099 contract, remote from anywhere in the U.S. The rate is $80 to $125 an hour, depending on experience.
Who we are
Precision Federal designs and delivers AI, data and software systems for government. Our contract wins include DOJ, DOT, the CDC and a town in Arizona.
Our faith is at the center of who we are. If you've been looking for a team where you can bring your faith to work, we'd love to hear from you. Whatever your faith or background, you're warmly welcome to apply.
Pay: $80.00 - $125.00 per hour
