Cybersecurity Engineer / GOVT

Location: Punggol (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract (Renewable basis) 
Key Responsibilities

• Implement and validate security controls using a risk-based approach.
• Conduct threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify security gaps and recommend appropriate mitigations.
• Review application code and technical designs to identify security vulnerabilities and ensure secure engineering practices.
• Use code, application, and cloud security analysis tools to identify and remediate security findings.
• Develop security features, automation, testing capabilities, and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Support security incident investigations, vulnerability validation, and remediation activities.
• Work with engineering and product teams to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and tools through structured testing and proof-of-concept projects.

What We Are Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, application security, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in cybersecurity, secure engineering, and risk-based security principles.
• Practical experience in areas such as threat modelling, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, secure software development, cloud security, or security research.
• Experience with security analysis tools and remediation of identified vulnerabilities or security findings.
• Ability to review secure, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Good understanding of security risks across applications, infrastructure, APIs, and cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage assigned security tasks and projects.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with sound judgement in balancing security, performance, usability, and maintainability.
