Cybersecurity SME - Quantum Technologies

Required skills & experience

 Strong cybersecurity background with demonstrable experience in cryptography and secure engineering (e.g., TLS, PKI/certificates, key management, crypto standards).

 Experience working in regulated environments with strong governance and control expectations.

 Proven ability to influence technical delivery outcomes through clear guidance, pragmatic risk-based decisioning, and stakeholder collaboration.

 Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex technical topics into actionable guidance.

Desirable skills & experience

 Familiarity with quantum-safe / PQC concepts and the delivery implications (crypto inventory, migration patterns, vendor readiness, enablement).

 Experience supporting large-scale security transformation programmes across federated organisations.

 Experience in security architecture, technology risk, or formal assurance functions.

 Experience within HSBC or other highly regulated financial institutions.
