Cybersecurity Software Architect

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Software Architect to join our existing engineering team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who wants to contribute specialized expertise to secure, scalable, and resilient system design. You will work alongside our core team to enhance system security, focusing on Linux-based environments, virtualization, and secure infrastructure for our data platform.

Responsibilities:

• Own the security architecture of the Embotech solutions.
• Work hand in hands with the security risk manager and the system teams to ensure the solutions implement all cybersecurity requirements.
• Support the design and review of secure systems.
• Design and help implement and improve security features such secure boot, secure software update device, authentication (user, protocols).
• Participation in the security risk analysis and review of the threats.
• Provide guidance on security-by-design best practices across the development lifecycle.
• Act as an expert sounding board on evolving cybersecurity risks and defences.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and safety engineers.

Requirements:

• Proven track record as a hands-on Cybersecurity Software Architect.
• Deep experience with Linux server environments and virtualization containerization technologies.
• Strong understanding of secure boot and TPM integration.
• Experience with software update mechanisms.
• Knowledge of device authentication protocols (PKI, certificates, tokens).
• Proficiency in SSH hardening and secure remote access.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Background in intrusion detection/prevention systems or SIEM tools.
• Contributions to open-source cybersecurity projects.
• Vulnerability management / security monitoring.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443 or ISO 21434.
