This role is exclusively for cleared professionals with demonstrated expertise in enterprise security operations. You will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's critical digital assets by architecting, implementing, and enhancing sophisticated cybersecurity measures across complex multi-platform environments. Your extensive background will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information systems while maintaining strict compliance with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and security clearance requirements. This is an opportunity to lead proactive security initiatives in a high-security environment that demands continuous innovation and resilience against advanced cyber threats.
Clearance Requirement: Current or eligible for Top Secret/SCI or higher security clearance required.
Duties
- Architect and oversee comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002, and NIST frameworks; provide strategic guidance based on years of hands-on experience.
- Lead network monitoring and threat analysis using advanced Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools; identify, analyze, and orchestrate response to complex security events.
- Design and execute vulnerability assessments and in-depth security risk investigations across enterprise IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, cloud environments, and endpoint ecosystems.
- Oversee and optimize security devices such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), advanced IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions to protect network perimeters at enterprise scale.
- Implement and maintain system hardening procedures across Windows, Linux distributions (Debian, CentOS), macOS, and mobile platforms (Android, iOS) in compliance with security standards.
- Direct identity & access management (IAM) processes utilizing enterprise tools including LDAP, Active Directory, SSO solutions, and role-based access control (RBAC) policies; ensure least-privilege principle enforcement.
- Lead and coordinate complex incident response efforts; investigate security breaches and vulnerabilities using advanced tools (Nmap, Burp Suite, Fiddler, forensic analysis); direct incident recovery and remediation activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated professional cybersecurity experience in enterprise or government environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and enterprise network management.
- Advanced proficiency with enterprise network security technologies including Cisco routers/switches, Cisco ISE for identity services, Cisco ASA firewalls, and IPsec VPNs.
- Proven expertise with information security standards including ISO 27001/27002/27000 series; deep familiarity with FISMA compliance frameworks (DIACAP, RMF).
- Demonstrated experience conducting vulnerability research, threat intelligence analysis, and enterprise-scale security risk assessments using industry-standard tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security engineering in platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Azure; knowledge of advanced cloud architecture and infrastructure security best practices.
- Proficiency in implementing encryption protocols, managing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems, and ensuring compliance with FIPS standards for cryptographic modules.
- Advanced scripting capabilities in Python and/or Shell Scripting for security automation; experience developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) and enterprise hardening techniques.
- Expert-level analytical skills in security event management platforms (Splunk, New Relic) and sophisticated log analysis to detect anomalies and emerging threats.
- Security clearance eligibility required; existing clearance is a significant advantage.
