Cylinder Management Executive

Role & responsibilities

* Track and monitor the end-to-end movement and rotation of Chlorine Tonners and Hydrogen Manifolds.

* Monitor tonner dashboards, identify available empty tonners, and prepare cluster-wise empty tonner availability reports for coordination with Unit Logistics and CSO teams.

* Maintain customer-wise, region-wise, and unit-wise tonner and manifold inventory records, including RFID-based tracking and online system updates.

* Prepare and circulate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on tonner availability, ageing, movement, and status to Logistics, Marketing, CSO teams, Zonal Heads, and Senior Management.

* Coordinate inter-unit tonner and manifold movement to ensure optimal availability, minimize shortages, and avoid production losses.

* Monitor and improve tonner turnaround time (TAT), customer-wise holding periods, and tonner ageing through effective coordination with customers, Marketing, and Logistics teams.

* Track hydrostatic testing (HT) due tonners and coordinate timely action to ensure availability and compliance.

* Coordinate with tonner chasers for customer-site inventory verification, reporting, follow-ups, and timely return of empty tonners.

* Monitor customer-site inventory and facilitate the timely lifting and movement of empty tonners in coordination with Unit Logistics and CSO teams.

* Coordinate tonner movement during plant shutdowns and other operational disruptions to ensure optimum utilization of available assets.

* Support the planning and execution of customer safety audits and Chlorine Safety Seminars in coordination with Zonal and Site teams.

* Monitor applicable safety regulations related to Chlorine and Hydrogen handling, ensure SOP updates, and support compliance activities.

* Assist the Head Tonner/Manifold Logistics in daily and monthly performance reviews with Zonal Heads and Senior Management.

* Maintain regular communication with customers to gather market intelligence on Chlorine truck and tonner availability and share relevant insights with the Marketing team.

Preferred candidate profile

4-6 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, or Logistics Coordination.

Experience in asset tracking, inventory control, fleet/logistics coordination, or returnable packaging management will be preferred.

Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in MIS reporting, dashboards, inventory ageing, and turnaround time tracking.

Good working knowledge of MS Excel, data analysis, reporting, and inventory management systems.

Strong coordination and communication skills to manage customers, logistics teams, marketing teams, and other internal stakeholders.

Ability to monitor asset movement, identify shortages, optimize utilization, and drive timely returns.

Knowledge of RFID-based tracking systems and ERP/SAP will be an added advantage.

Experience in the chemical, industrial gas, manufacturing, or chemical logistics industry will be preferred.

Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and regulatory compliance related to Chlorine/Hydrogen handling will be an advantage.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prepare accurate reports within defined timelines.
