D2D Taxi Driver

As a Door 2 Door (D2D) driver team member, you will assist clients as needed to and from their appointments by loading and unloading them in the vehicle. You must be a team player and able to work independently once trained. Full-time employees receive a benefits package including health insurance and PTO/vacation.

Prerequisites

• 21 years of age or older - 4-year min. driving experience
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
• Good Driving Record
• Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen and be randomly tested thereafter
• 10 Year Background Check
• Pre-Requisite Certificates: CPR/First Aid Certification - Passenger Sensitivity - Defensive Driving *Abby Vans pays for cost of training but training time is not paid.

Physical Requirements

• Safely operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions.
• Provide supervision/assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Use proper body mechanics when loading and unloading clients.
• Secure vehicle passenger and wheelchair restraints
• Operate motor vehicle wheelchair lift/ramp on accessible vehicles.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 350 pounds as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate and follow instructions from the office or clients.
• Be friendly, courteous, and patient.
• Work towards resolving conflicts without being argumentative.
• Operation of use of electronic devices
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, both interior and exterior, and be clean and well-groomed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
