We are a local family owned Delivery Service Partner for a leading e-commerce company based in the Hampton Roads (Suffolk) since 2020. We are currently looking for self motivated and responsible Delivery Driver Helpers to obsess over our customers by achieving outstanding performance in a fast paced environment. Our Delivery Driver Helpers work with the Delivery Driver to get every order to the customer’s door on-time using 16-foot and 24-foot box trucks equipped with the latest technology. We are offering full time positions at competitive wages with benefits and opportunity to progress within the Company, including leadership/supervisory roles.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work along side a Delivery Driver in a 16-ft or 24-ft Box Truck on a variety of routes throughout the delivery area ranging from 25-70 stops a day
• Use hand held device for routing and customer delivery information.
• Independently or in teams, deliver packages to houses, mobile parks, apartments, and businesses.
• Be able to move and deliver all packages assigned to your team up to 300lbs in weight
• Must be comfortable riding and working in varying weather conditions. Load and unload packages to be delivered safely, securely, and without damage.
• Be CUSTOMER OBSESSED!! We strive to deliver packages and smiles to our customers.
• Be able to work shifts ranging between 8-10 hours per day starting between 10:00AM-12:00PM and be available any day of the week.
• Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of the trucks.
• Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation: a single Delivery Associate Helper needs to be able to maneuver packages up to 70 pounds each using material handling equipment (MHE) and with a team of Delivery Associates(driver + helper) able to move items up to 300 pounds using MHE.
• Able to get in and out of truck and walk up and down stairs throughout your shift in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in heavy lifting and capability to load and unload packages efficiently
• Strong customer service skills
• Valid driver's license preferred to have advancement opportunities to become a Delivery Driver
• Willingness to learn and be able to follow instructions

Basic Requirements:

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
