Dairy Queen Shift Lead

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and positive Shift Lead to join our Dairy Queen team! The Shift Lead helps oversee daily operations, supports team members, and ensures every customer receives fast, friendly service.

As a Shift Lead, you will work alongside the crew while helping manage the shift, maintain a clean and organized restaurant, and ensure that Dairy Queen standards are being followed.

Responsibilities:

• Help oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts
• Lead, motivate, and support crew members
• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer concerns professionally
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Manage cash handling and register procedures
• Ensure food is prepared correctly and follows safety and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Help with employee training and coaching
• Monitor staff performance and ensure employees stay productive during shifts
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and supplies as needed
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
• Handle problems that arise during a shift and communicate important issues to management

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant, food service, or customer service experience preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, responsible, and able to take initiative
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable handling cash and following proper procedures
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform regular restaurant duties

Previous work experience in the food industry is preferred
