Dairy Systems Technician - Creston

WG Dairy Supply is an agriculture service and solutions-based company in Creston, Ohio, St. Henry Ohio and Jonesville, Michigan. WG Dairy Supply is focused on providing the most innovative products and support for the dairy industry in Ohio and bordering states.

WG Dairy Supply is seeking an individual for employment for the installation and service of robotic and traditional milking and cooling equipment. This position will be based out of our Creston OH location to serve the needs of agricultural (primarily dairy) and commercial operations throughout Ohio and Western PA. We are looking for a team player who is service-oriented and possesses mechanical aptitude; skills with, electrical wiring, plumbing and dairy farm experience are preferred but not required.. Typical Duties:

• Full Time position to perform the preventative maintenance and service of dairy and ag systems These products and services include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Manure Handling Systems – Equipment install and control specifications, design
  • Traditional and robotic automated milking systems and components
  • Refrigeration components of new/used milk tanks and cooling systems.
  • Feeding equipment, silo unloaders, automated calf feeders, fans, manure equipment, waterers, lights, etc.
• Complete electrical wiring and installation in barns and farms
• Plumbing for dairy operations
• Account for time spent on jobs and material used in performing duties

Requirements:

• Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment as provided by WG Dairy Supply
• Basic computer abilities with proficiencies in oral and written skills
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Promptly attend required trainings to receive pertinent certifications for on-call scheduling
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required; Associates degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
