DANCE INSTRUCTOR – CHILDREN’S ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Job Overview

Rainbow Tutoring Center Plus is seeking qualified Dance Instructors to join our Children’s Enrichment Program in Miami, Florida, near Miami Executive (Tamiami) Airport.

We are seeking professional, engaging, and qualified instructors with verifiable dance education, training, certifications, professional experience, or other relevant credentials who can provide structured and age-appropriate dance instruction to children and adolescents.

Dance Specialties

We are seeking instructors specializing in one or more of the following:

• Flamenco
• Belly Dance
• Jazz
• Contemporary Dance
• Modern Dance
• Hip-Hop
• Latin Dance
• Creative Movement
• Dance Technique
• Choreography
• Performance Preparation

Applicants are not required to teach all dance styles. Candidates with strong qualifications in one or more specific dance disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

The instructor will provide structured individual and small-group dance lessons; teach rhythm, coordination, balance, flexibility, movement, technique and choreography; adapt instruction to students’ ages and skill levels; promote safe movement and proper technique; and prepare students for recitals, showcases, presentations and performances when appropriate.

Required Qualifications & Documentation

Candidates must be able to provide verifiable documentation supporting their qualifications in the dance area they will teach.

Acceptable qualifications may include a degree in Dance, Dance Education, Performing Arts or a related field; conservatory or professional dance-school training; instructor certifications; documented professional training; or other relevant credentials and experience.

Applicants educated outside the United States must provide their foreign educational credentials with an English translation and should be prepared to provide a U.S. credential evaluation/equivalency when applicable to the credentialing process.

Selected candidates must be willing and able to provide applicable degrees, diplomas, transcripts, certificates, professional training records, employment records, or other documentation demonstrating qualifications in the relevant subject area.

Step Up's current Elective Courses guidance specifically recognizes a degree in the relevant subject area with transcripts, certification/national accreditation, current relevant postsecondary enrollment, or at least three years of relevant experience documented through employment records, among the available qualification pathways.

Employment Requirements

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must provide appropriate work-authorization documentation as required by law.

Previous experience teaching children and/or adolescents is strongly preferred.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Employment Type: Part-Time / Independent Contractor (1099)
Location: Miami, FL — near Miami Executive (Tamiami) Airport
Schedule: Flexible; after-school and weekend availability preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
