About Us

3Dz Dance Studio is a Waterloo-based dance studio built by dancers, for dancers. We create a welcoming and inclusive space where people of all ages and experience levels can learn, train, perform, and connect through dance.

Our programs span a variety of styles, including K-pop, hip-hop, jazz, funk, heels, breaking, contemporary, and more. We believe dance is not only about technique, but also about confidence, creativity, self-expression, and community.

As our studio continues to grow, we are looking for passionate instructors who want to contribute to that environment and grow with us.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Dance Instructors to join our teaching team. We are open to instructors specializing in one or multiple dance styles, including but not limited to K-pop, hip-hop, jazz funk, heels, breaking, and choreography.

The ideal candidate is not only a strong dancer, but also someone who genuinely enjoys teaching and connecting with students. You should be comfortable working with different ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced dancers.

Depending on your experience and interests, opportunities may include teaching regular classes, workshops, choreography-based classes, youth programs, camps, performance training, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging, structured dance classes appropriate for the students' age, experience, and skill level.
• Teach dance technique, choreography, musicality, performance quality, and foundational skills relevant to your style.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Adapt teaching methods and class material to meet the needs of different learners.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to help students build confidence and improve their skills.
• Encourage creativity, individuality, and self-expression through dance.
• Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with students, parents, and fellow instructors.
• Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes and commitments.
• Stay current with trends, music, choreography, and developments within your dance style.
• Participate in studio events, showcases, workshops, camps, or community performances when applicable.
• Communicate with the studio team regarding class needs, student progress, scheduling, and other relevant matters.

What We're Looking For

• Strong dance training and proficiency in at least one dance style.
• Teaching experience is an asset, but we are also open to experienced dancers who are interested in developing their teaching skills.
• Ability to teach and demonstrate movement clearly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, patient, and encouraging teaching approach.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic.
• Ability to work with students of different ages and experience levels.
• Passion for dance, teaching, and helping others grow.
• A willingness to collaborate with other instructors and contribute to the 3Dz community.

Dance certifications are an asset but are not required.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 1.0 per week
