Job Description

Now seeking knowledgeable, positive, and community-minded dance instructors to teach recreational classes for our Introductory and Progressive Levels. Styles include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre.

Responsibilities:

• Create age-appropriate lesson plans for weekly classes
• Choreography for bi-annual recitals
• Nurture and motivate youth, ages 1.5-18, to realize their potential and achieve their goals
• Build relationships with participants and families Assess student progress and effectively communicate progress with families

Specific Details:

• Classes are offered at both the Dahl and Houser locations, with the majority of offerings held at the Houser branch in Onalaska Morning, evening, and weekend classes available; 2-8 hours per week.

Requirements

• 3+ years of studio dance training in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and/or musical theatre
• Knowledge of dance terminology and technique
• Strong communication skills Ability to create a safe and fun environment for all
