Dance Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced Dance Teacher on a consultant basis to join our institution. In this role, you will introduce students to the joy of rhythm, movement, and creative expression. You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging dance curriculums across various grade levels for 3 days a week, fostering artistic growth, physical fitness, and confidence in our students.

Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesCurriculum & Instruction

• Develop and implement age-appropriate dance lesson plans for students spanning various styles (e.g., Classical, Contemporary, Folk, Hip-Hop, or Jazz).
• Conduct practical dance sessions that teach rhythm, posture, coordination, and choreographic techniques.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse age groups, skill levels, and learning needs.

Event Choreography & Performance

• Choreograph routines for school events, annual days, cultural festivals, and inter-school competitions.
• Manage rehearsals and coordinate costumes, music selection, and stage presence for student performances.

Student Engagement & Environment

• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive studio environment that encourages self-expression and teamwork.
• Identify and nurture exceptional talent, guiding students who wish to pursue dance at advanced or competitive levels.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure adherence to safety standards during physical movements.

Administrative & Collaboration

• Collaborate with the cultural committee and school management to align dance activities with the academic calendar.
• Assess student progress informally and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional certification/diploma).
• Experience: 2+ years of experience teaching dance, preferably within a K-12 school environment or a reputed dance academy.
• Skills: Strong choreography skills, excellent classroom management, and outstanding communication skills with children of all ages.
• Attributes: High energy, patience, creativity, and a collaborative mindset.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
