Data Analyst (Annotator)

We're not hiring someone to just tag data. We're looking for a sharp, fresh-graduate mind who happens to start in data annotation but is capable of — and hungry for — far more. If you're the kind of person who asks "why does this process work this way?" instead of just following it, who spots a broken workflow and fixes it without being asked, and who gets bored doing one narrow task forever — this role is built for you.

You should be:

• A self-starter who can read docs, watch a tutorial, and figure the rest out
• A critical thinker who questions guidelines that don't make sense instead of blindly applying them
• Multi-talented and curious — comfortable moving between data work, QA, scripting, and analysis
• Ownership-driven — you treat tasks as yours to solve, not tickets to close
• Comfortable with ambiguity and allergic to "not my job"

What You'll Actually Do:

This role is deliberately broad. Expect your day-to-day to span:

Data Annotation:

• Label, annotate, and QA data (image, text, audio, video) for ML models — with high accuracy and consistency
• Spot patterns, inconsistencies, and edge cases in data — and flag them proactively, not just report them
• Work directly with annotation leads and the AI/ML team to improve tooling and process, not just follow it

Quality Assurance & Technical Debugging:

• Debug on Android via ADB/Scrcpy and interpret Android Studio logs
• Use Chrome DevTools (Network, Console, Elements, Application tabs) to inspect and debug web apps
• Test and validate APIs — methods, headers, payloads, status codes, response structures
• Write basic SQL (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN) to pull and validate data from MySQL
• Understand JSON structure and database schemas well enough to investigate issues independently

Automation & Scripting:

• Use JavaScript and/or Python to automate repetitive tasks, test cases, and API checks
• Build small tools or scripts that make your own team faster — even if nobody asked

Beyond the Job Description:

• Contribute ideas that improve internal tooling and workflows
• Take on adjacent responsibilities as you demonstrate capability — this role is a launchpad, not a cage

What Makes You a Fit:

• Fresh graduate (or early-career) in a tech-related field — CS, engineering, data science, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Fast learner who can grasp technical concepts without hand-holding
• Strong written and verbal communication — able to talk to both frontline teammates and leadership
• Flexible with shifts (morning/evening/night) based on business needs
• Bonus: exposure to AI/ML concepts, annotation tools, or prior QA/data work — but mindset matters more than resume lines

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs75,000.00 per month
