Position Summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational and financial data to support decision-making across the organization. This role combines traditional business intelligence and financial analysis with opportunities to automate reporting, integrate new data sources, and develop analytical tools that improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets, and enjoys solving business problems through data. Experience with APIs, programming, business intelligence tools, and real estate or self-storage operations is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze operational, financial, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Consolidate, analyze, and relate data from dozens of sources (e.g., marketing tools, accounting software, management data)
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and recurring reports for executive leadership.
• Monitor property performance, occupancy, rental rates, delinquency, and revenue metrics.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Validate data accuracy and improve data quality across systems.

Financial Analysis

• Analyze property-level financial performance.
• Build forecasting and budgeting models.
• Coordinate pricing strategies & revenue optimization initiatives and make recommendations to Revenue Mangers
• Support acquisition due diligence and portfolio performance analysis.
• Identify operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.

Business Intelligence

• Design and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Develop meaningful visualizations that communicate complex data clearly.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data Engineering & Automation

• Integrate data from multiple business systems using APIs.
• Automate recurring reports and workflows.
• Develop scripts and tools to improve reporting efficiency.
• Assist with data warehouse development and maintenance.
• Document data sources and business logic.

Strategic Analytics

• Support pricing and revenue management initiatives.
• Analyze marketing effectiveness and customer acquisition metrics.
• Evaluate operational performance across managed properties.
• Identify emerging trends and recommend process improvements.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in: Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field

· 3+ years of experience in: Data analysis, Business intelligence, financial analysis, Analytics

· Strong understanding of: Statistical analysis, Data visualization, financial modeling, KPI development

· Experience presenting findings to business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following:

Programming: Python, R, JavaScript, VBA

Data Tools: Snowflake,Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery

Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL

Integrations: REST APIs, JSON, ETL processes, Data automation

Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud

Industry Experience (Preferred)

Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly desirable:

• REITs
• Multi-site Operations

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
