Data Analyst

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing construction-related data to provide insights that drive decision-making and improve project outcomes. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a deep understanding of construction processes and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead data projects from initiation through completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.

• Collect, cleanse, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including project management systems, financial platforms, and field operations reports.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including:

  • Project schedules and timelines
  • Budget performance
  • Resource utilization
  • Safety and operational metrics

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making and process improvements.

• Apply predictive analytics, machine learning, and forecasting techniques to identify potential project risks and business opportunities.

• Perform ad hoc analyses and provide actionable insights to support strategic and operational initiatives.

• Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and construction/project management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading data projects and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Proven experience in data analysis, data interpretation, and business reporting.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Experience in machine learning, predictive modelling, and forecasting techniques is preferred.
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or equivalent platforms is an advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is preferred.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
