DATA ANALYST

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence & Analytics team in Hong Kong. You will play a vital role in analyzing global telecom network traffic and CPaaS usage metrics, building interactive BI dashboards for business stakeholders, and deliver actionable data insights to optimize operational performance and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day data operations, analyzing global voice/messaging traffic, route profitability, and customer usage trends to provide actionable business intelligence.
• Perform regular periodic reviews, maintenance, and automated execution of data pipelines and interactive dashboards (Power BI / Tableau) in compliance with company data governance standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Network Engineering, and Finance teams to conduct ad-hoc traffic analyses, revenue reconciliations, and intercompany performance benchmarking across global business units.
• Monitor daily data workflows, identify traffic anomalies or quality issues in real time, and assist in operational risk management and quality-of-service (QoS) tracking.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across core databases; document metrics definitions and ensure strict adherence to data protection controls.
• Assist in predictive traffic modeling, customer churn analysis, rolling revenue forecasts, and prepare executive management packages to support strategic decision-making.
• Participate in data warehouse optimizations, SQL query tuning, and continuous pipeline automation to enhance ETL efficiency and analytical reporting speed.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of solid professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering.
• Proficient in SQL query writing and database management (PostgreSQL / MySQL / Snowflake).
• Advanced expertise in BI visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) and Python/R for data analysis.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VBA).
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
• High attention to detail, strong analytical and logical capabilities, proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders under tight deadlines.
• Experience in Telecommunications, CPaaS, SaaS, Cloud Services, or Financial Technology is a strong advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Tableau Desktop Specialist) are a strong plus.
• Candidates with telecom, tech MNC, or data agency background preferred.
