Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking an Data Analyst to lead critical data migration, lifecycle management, and  analytics projects.

Key Responsibilities

• SAS Reporting & ETL Migration: Assess and migrate SAS-based reporting and SAS ETL jobs feeding existing BI environments, ensuring source logic and business rules are preserved during transition to the target platform.
• Analytics & Data Modelling: Collaborate with business stakeholders to build performant analytical data models, data marts, and self-service BI dashboards.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Establish data quality rules, data lineage tracking, and compliance policies to protect sensitive data across the enterprise.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Data Engineer to define data contracts and quality expectations for incoming ETL/ELT feeds, ensuring upstream pipelines deliver analysis-ready data for BI and governance work.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years focusing on Enterprise BI, Data Governance, and Analytics Systems.
• Cognos Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of IBM Cognos Analytics
• SAS Skills: Hands-on experience with SAS ETL / SAS Data Integration Studio and SAS reporting outputs, with the ability to interpret and re-platform existing SAS logic.
• Data Modeling: Proficiency in dimensional modeling (Kimball methodology), star/snowflake schemas, and data warehouse concepts.
• SQL & Data Analysis: Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and audit reporting during migrations.
• Nice to Have: Exposure to Python/SQL-based ETL or cloud data pipelines (e.g., AWS Glue), to support closer collaboration with the Data Engineering team.
• Adaptability: Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new BI, governance, and data management technologies as platforms and compliance requirements evolve.
