Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Advanced Excel, Power BI, and SQL, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, prepare reports, and provide meaningful business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Prepare and maintain reports and dashboards using Advanced Excel and Power BI.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Create and maintain Excel-based reports using advanced formulas and functions.
• Work with VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, Power Query, IF functions, and other advanced Excel features.
• Write and execute SQL queries to extract, filter, join, and analyze data from databases.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
• Perform data validation and ensure accuracy and consistency across reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting and data requirements.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis based on business requirements.
• Document reporting processes and maintain proper data/reporting documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel.

• Hands-on experience with:

• VLOOKUP / HLOOKUP / XLOOKUP

• INDEX-MATCH

• Pivot Tables & Pivot Charts

• Conditional Formatting

• Advanced Excel formulas

• Power Query

• Data Validation and Data Cleaning

• Good knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard creation and data visualization.

• Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts.

• Knowledge of SQL queries such as SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, subqueries, etc.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Power BI data modeling.
• Experience with ETL/data transformation processes.
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis is an added advantage.
• Experience working with large datasets is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, MIS, or Reporting.
