Data Analyst

About the Role

Angove Partners has partnered with a brand-new MGA backed by a major PE-backed platform as its first European Transactional Risk offering. This is a genuine challenger built from scratch with serious financial backing already in place. Ideal for someone with up to 2 years experience, the data analyst will sit at the centre of the build, working closely with the external IT team to set up and launch the company's data system from the ground up, translating between the two so the system works the way the business actually needs it to.

What You'll Do

• Develop project plans: create detailed schedules, allocate resources, and set milestones for the data system build
• Gather relevant data from multiple sources and clean and structure it for analysis
• Apply statistical methods, predictive modelling, and visualization techniques to extract insights
• Build dashboards, charts, and executive summaries to communicate findings and track project performance
• Track timelines, budgets, and resource utilization, adjusting plans as needed to ensure project success
• Audit workflows, standardize templates, and implement automation to reduce manual reporting

What You'll Need

• Recent graduate or up to 2 years' experience in a data/analytics role
• Strong Excel skills; comfortable building and maintaining structured datasets
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and structuring data
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Ability to communicate clearly and translate between technical and non-technical teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ground-floor start-up environment with a lot of ambiguity

Nice to Haves

• Exposure to or interest in AI tools
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry
• Additional language skills relevant to Benelux/DACH markets
