Role Overview

A leading enterprise is seeking a Data Analyst to join their European Data & Analytics team, focusing on hands-on exploration and analysis across commercial, pricing, and promotional datasets. You will evaluate data feasibility, identify limitations, and translate complex findings into actionable commercial insights to support scalable analytical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on exploratory data analysis and data profiling on large commercial datasets using SQL and Python.
• Analyse CPG/FMCG pricing, promotions, sales volumes, and market dynamics to assess analytical feasibility and support revenue use cases.
• Investigate data quality, gaps, and structural limitations across diverse European markets and data providers.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Power BI Developers to define requirements and validate business logic.
• Produce clear documentation and translate data findings into practical recommendations for technical and commercial stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or similar analytical role.
• Strong hands-on querying and data exploration skills in SQL and/or Python.
• Direct experience analysing commercial datasets within the CPG or FMCG sector.
• Working knowledge of pricing and promotional mechanics, trade terms, or retail sales data.
• Familiarity with modern data environments such as Databricks, Azure, or Power BI is advantageous.
