About the role

AMA is looking for a Freelance Data Analyst to join one of our clients in Belgium.

You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to transform complex datasets into meaningful insights, dashboards, and recommendations supporting business decision-making.

Your responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and opportunities within large datasets.
• Define and monitor KPIs in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to the automation and improvement of reporting processes.
• Document data definitions, reporting processes, and analytical methodologies.

Your profile

• Proven professional experience as a Data Analyst / BI Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of data modelling, data quality, and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Python for data analysis is a strong asset.
• Comfortable working with large and complex datasets.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to business stakeholders.
• Fluent professional English; French and/or Dutch is an asset.
