Data Analyst

Our Company is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team. The applicant will primarily conduct data analysis and develop analytical tools to support business processes for the Defense Logistics Agency. This position could be assigned to support contract administration and/or performance-based contract analytics and may cross over into other areas of the logistics supply chain.

Responsibilities: The position focuses on the creation of new analytical tools to support management and execution of contracts for the Defense Logistics Agency. Ad Hoc analysis of existing data may be required according to operational needs. The successful applicant will be expected to interact with government officials and subject matter experts to translate needs into analytical tools for government processes. The successful applicant will be expected to present and explain complex data sets in a consumable and visual format. An applicant will be expected to work in a team environment and provide/ receive constructive critiques during the development of tools and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience creating automated processes and analysis
• SQL coding experience
• Expert knowledge of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under time constraints
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supply Chain and Department of War (DoW) Logistics knowledge/experience
• Experience programming in SAS, Python, or R
• College degree or certificates relating to data analytics
• Experience handling large, complex datasets from multiple sources
• Proficiency in data visualization applications such as Looker, Qlik Cloud, and Power BI
• Strong experience querying and analyzing data using SAS Viya and Google BigQuery

Applicants must be able to pass a government background check and be within daily commuting distance of Richmond, VA. This role is in-office 5 days a week.
