Data Analyst

Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Trenton,NJ Work Model: Hybrid (Three Days Onsite) Job Type: Contract Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to provide technical analysis, automation, and fulfillment of enterprise data requests within the Department s digital infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake SQL and Python, along with the ability to analyze complex data, troubleshoot existing code, automate recurring support tasks, and resolve data discrepancies.

The Data Analyst will work within Snowflake and AWS cloud environments, performing data profiling, validation, analysis, and automation to support the Department s modernization initiatives and the Project Nexus ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, debug, and optimize complex SQL scripts in Snowflake to fulfill ad-hoc data requests and support enterprise-wide data analysis.
• Review and interpret existing Python and SQL codebases to troubleshoot issues, identify improvements, and ensure new automation aligns with established business and technical logic.
• Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts to streamline recurring data support requests and reduce manual intervention.
• Perform detailed data profiling, validation, and analysis within Snowflake and AWS cloud environments.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, data quality issues, and inconsistencies across enterprise data sources.
• Fulfill complex data requests by translating business requirements into accurate technical deliverables.
• Analyze existing data workflows and scripts to identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
• Support data operations within the Project Nexus ecosystem while maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate findings effectively.
• Document technical solutions, data analysis processes, automation scripts, and issue resolutions as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience with Snowflake SQL, including SQL scripting, development, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• 3+ years of experience with Python programming for data analysis and automation.
• 3+ years of experience reviewing, interpreting, and troubleshooting existing SQL and Python code.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis and data profiling.
• 3+ years of experience developing automated scripts for recurring support or ticket resolution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex data issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Desired Skills

• 3+ years of experience working with cloud data warehouses or cloud data environments, particularly AWS.
• Experience working with enterprise data modernization initiatives.
• Experience with data validation, data quality, and discrepancy resolution.
• Experience working in cloud-based data environments involving Snowflake and AWS.
