Why this role

A trading business is only as good as the questions it can answer quickly: what moved, why, and what to do about it. You'll own the analysis behind daily trading and customer activity, with a focus on international clients and the market makers and institutions that shape spot volume. That means designing the metrics, keeping the reporting trustworthy, and digging in when the usual views fall short. Within 18 months, leadership reviews run on sharper numbers, and the team spends less time rebuilding the same analysis.

What you'll do

• Own the daily reports and deeper investigations for a spot trading business, and define each metric so everyone reads it the same way
• Design the analysis approach as the business matures and priorities shift
• Pull, clean, check, and interpret data with SQL and BI tools, then say plainly what to do about it
• Catch changes in customer behavior, funnel drop-off, and institutional trading patterns early
• Invent new analysis methods when the current dashboards can't give a reliable answer
• Work with product, operations, marketing, and international colleagues in English and Chinese, and move them from insight to decision

What you'll bring

Non-negotiables

• Has analyzed trading, financial, or crypto businesses, and understands how market makers and institutional clients trade spot
• Builds metrics from how the business actually runs and can turn a vague question into a clear answer
• Is strong in SQL and data validation, and can walk non-data colleagues through the reasoning
• Is bilingual in Chinese and English, and communicates in English with no barrier

• Has hands-on experience in crypto, fintech, or a large internet platform
• Has used AI tools to speed up analysis, insight writing, or automation
