Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at LLM Decode, you will work closely with the team to analyze data across our content, newsletter, audience, and growth initiatives.

About the Role

You will be responsible for identifying trends, building dashboards, tracking key performance indicators, and translating data into actionable recommendations. This is a remote opportunity suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving, AI-first environment and is comfortable turning messy data into simple, useful insights.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data related to newsletter performance, audience growth, content engagement, and user behavior.
• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring performance reports.
• Track key metrics such as subscriber growth, open rates, click-through rates, engagement, retention, and conversion.
• Identify trends and patterns that can improve content strategy and audience growth.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to answer business and product questions.
• Clean, validate, and organize datasets from multiple sources.
• Work with spreadsheets, SQL databases, analytics platforms, and other data sources.
• Develop automated reports and recurring data workflows where possible.
• Create clear visualizations and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Support experiments and A/B tests by measuring results and identifying statistically meaningful trends.
• Monitor data quality and flag inconsistencies or anomalies.
• Research AI, technology, and market trends where relevant to business analysis.
• Help establish and improve the company's data-driven decision-making processes.

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, growth analytics, or a related role.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with large or messy datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with SaaS, media, newsletters, startups, or digital products.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, or similar analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience with APIs and data extraction.
• Knowledge of statistics, experimentation, and A/B testing.
• Interest in AI, LLMs, AI tools, and emerging technology.
• Experience using AI tools to automate repetitive analytical workflows.
