Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Analyst that will support Operations, Sales, Finance, and Engineering across both RITZ locations by analyzing data within the company’s ERP systems and related business tools. The role develops reliable reports and dashboards, investigates performance and cost variances, and improves data quality and reporting efficiency. Working with department leaders, the analyst turns business questions into clear findings and recommendations that support informed decisions and continuous improvement. Duties

• Write SQL queries to extract, combine, and analyze data from Genius ERP and related business systems.
• Create/maintain Excel analyses, dashboards, and reports for department leaders and management.
• Create/maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize key performance indicators and trends across Operations, Sales, Finance, and Engineering.
• Validate data accuracy and completeness; investigate discrepancies and work with data owners to correct source issues.
• Work with departments to define consistent KPIs, calculation methods, and reporting requirements; document data sources and assumptions.
• Automate recurring reports and data preparation using scripts and reporting tools; verify outputs before release.
• Present findings and practical recommendations clearly; work with department leaders to prioritize requests and track agreed actions.
• Support approved ERP data updates and reporting changes with documented approvals, validation, and coordination with IT and data owners.
• Protect confidential business information and follow approved data access and cybersecurity practices.
• Assist with management of internal SharePoint site

Requirements

• Education or equivalent experience in data analytics, business, finance, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and data analysis; experience with Power Query or Power BI is an asset.
• Ability to write SQL queries and work with ERP data and databases
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and ERP data, including work orders, inventory, bills of material, routings, and costing.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain findings to colleagues without a technical background.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
• Scripting or report automation experience is an asset. Knowledge of python and other computer programming languages is an asset
