Data Analyst - JP Morgan - Bournemouth - 6 months contract - PAYE - Hybrid

JP Morgan is seeking a motivated and analytical individual to join its Risk Reporting Data Strategy team in Bournemouth on an initial 6 months contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone at the early stages of their career to gain experience within a leading global financial services organisation.

Working alongside Risk, Data and Technology teams, you will support initiatives to improve reporting processes, enhance data capabilities and explore emerging technologies, including AI. You will help coordinate projects, gather requirements and contribute to the development of more efficient, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of reporting scorecards, performance metrics and KPIs.
• Assist with data initiatives involving Databricks, data tables and reporting pipelines.
• Help explore AI use cases and future reporting solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and document actions.
• Track project progress, risks, issues and key updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in a relevant subject such as Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Alternatively, some relevant experience through a data-related placement, internship or previous role.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• An interest in data, technology and financial services.
• Knowledge of SQL, Databricks, data analytics or risk reporting would be advantageous, but we're open to graduates and candidates who are keen to learn and develop their skills.
