Data Analyst

Role Description The Data Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Yangon Region, Myanmar. This role is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing operational and financial data to support decision-making across Hana Microfinance. Day-to-day tasks include building reports and dashboards, performing statistical analyses, and developing data models to understand portfolio performance, client behavior, and risk trends. The Data Analyst collaborates with management and cross-functional teams to translate data findings into actionable insights and recommendations. The role also involves monitoring data quality, documenting methodologies, and contributing to continuous improvement of data processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analytics capabilities to interpret complex datasets and generate insights.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Statistics to conduct quantitative analyses and validate findings.
• Candidates should possess Data Modeling skills to design and maintain models that support forecasting, risk assessment, and performance tracking.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field is beneficial.
• Experience working with financial, microfinance, or banking data, and familiarity with Myanmar’s local context, is an advantage.
• Ability to work with attention to detail, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate in a diverse, inclusive environment.
