Data Analyst

Responsibilities

Positions Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst (BI + AI) to join our team in Vietnam. This role will focus on transforming complex data into meaningful business insights through advanced SQL, Power BI, data modeling, and semantic modeling, while leveraging modern AI tools to improve day-to-day analytics and productivity.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in SQL and Power BI, excellent business analysis and communication skills, and practical experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude. This is a fully remote position based in Vietnam.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Analyze complex business data and translate findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries and Stored Procedures for data analysis and reporting.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Build and maintain robust data models and semantic models to support scalable reporting and analytics.
• Develop DAX measures, metrics, and calculations for business and performance analysis.
• Work with data warehouse structures and tabular models to support BI solutions.
• Analyze business and performance metrics, identify trends and patterns, and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into effective data and BI solutions.
• Use AI tools and applications such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI assistants as part of daily analytics and productivity workflows.
• Explore opportunities to improve data analysis and business processes through AI-assisted analysis and automation.
• Communicate analytical findings, recommendations, and business insights effectively in English.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience, including strong query-writing skills and experience with Stored Procedures.
• 2+ years of hands-on Power BI experience, with strong expertise in data modeling and semantic modeling.
• Strong experience with DAX, data analysis, metrics, and performance analysis.
• Experience working with data warehouses and/or tabular data models.
• Strong business analysis skills with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• 1+ years of experience using AI tools/applications in daily work, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI assistants.
• Strong English communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical and analytical information to business stakeholders.
• Must be based in Vietnam and able to work remotely.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts or solutions.
• Experience with AI Agents or agent-based AI solutions.
• Experience using AI automation to improve analytics or business workflows.
• Strong understanding of Business Intelligence and Business Insights.
• Experience identifying opportunities to combine traditional BI/data analytics with AI-enabled tools and automation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and business teams.
