Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will be responsible for managing AGD's daily sales and operational reporting requirements, ensuring management and sales teams have access to accurate, timely, and actionable information to support decision-making.

The role will oversee recurring Excel-based reports, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, consolidate information received from sales teams, and coordinate the tracking and updating of customer off-invoice claims. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, Power BI expertise, and a keen attention to detail to support reporting excellence and business performance.

1 .Sales & Operational Reporting

• Prepare, update, and circulate daily sales, stock, and KPI performance reports.
• Ensure all recurring reports are accurate, complete, and delivered within agreed timelines.
• Generate weekly and monthly management reports for MBRs, S&OP meetings, and business reviews.
• Monitor key business metrics and ensure reporting consistency across all functions.
• Support management with ad hoc reporting requirements and data requests.

2. Power BI Dashboard Management

• Maintain and update Power BI dashboards used by management and sales teams.
• Develop new dashboards and visualizations based on evolving business requirements.
• Convert manual Excel reports into automated Power BI solutions where feasible.
• Continuously improve reporting automation, data visualization, and dashboard usability.
• Ensure reporting data sources remain accurate and reliable.

3. Customer Claims Coordination

• Maintain the central Off-Invoice Discount (OID) / customer claims tracking file.
• Coordinate with Sales Executives, Sales Coordinators, and Area Managers to obtain timely updates on customer claims.
• Track open, pending, disputed, and resolved claims.
• Provide regular status summaries and insights to management on outstanding matters.
• Ensure proper documentation and follow-up of all customer claims records.

4. Data Analysis & Business Insights

• Analyze sales and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform customer-level, channel-level, and product-level analysis.
• Provide actionable business insights and recommendations to support sales performance.
• Identify exceptions and highlight areas requiring management attention.
• Support decision-making through meaningful interpretation of business data.

5. Reporting Process Improvement

• Improve and standardize Excel reporting templates and reporting structures.
• Enhance reporting accuracy through structured data models and validation checks.
• Drive process improvements that reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency.
• Maintain proper version control and organization of reporting files.
• Support initiatives related to reporting automation and continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Certifications in Power BI, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence will be an advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Dashboards, Data Modelling).
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis, MIS Reporting, Business Reporting, or Sales Analytics.
• Experience supporting Sales, Commercial, FMCG, Retail, Distribution, or Trading businesses is preferred.
• Experience in preparing management reports and business performance dashboards.
• Exposure to customer claims tracking, sales operations, or commercial support functions is an advantage.
