What they need
Margaritaville at Sea sells escape. Our Data Analyst makes sure the data behind that escape is accurate, consistent and trusted, so every team can make decisions with confidence. This is a chance to help shape how a growing cruise line manages and uses its data: our third ship, Beachcomber, enters service from Miami in January 2027. It is a hands-on role with real influence on data quality and governance across the company.
ABOUT MARGARITAVILLE AT SEA
Classica Cruise Operator, Ltd., doing business as Margaritaville at Sea, operates Bahamas-flagged cruise ships from Florida homeports in Palm Beach, Tampa and Miami. Our core purpose is to create and deliver fun and escapism, guided by our Culture Essentials: every guest, every time; act with integrity and respect; shared responsibility for the well-being of our guests, crew and community; and each employee's responsibility to be better than the rest.
THE ROLE
Working closely with the Data Product Owner, the Data Engineering Lead and business teams across the company, the Data Analyst combines analytical skill with data governance practice. You will profile and monitor enterprise data, enforce governance standards, and deliver the reporting and insight that help the business perform.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Data Quality
- Profile data and run quality assessments across critical systems, finding anomalies, inconsistencies and patterns before they affect the business.
- Monitor data for accuracy, completeness and timeliness, with ongoing checks and controls aligned to company and regulatory requirements.
Data Governance and Documentation
- Develop and maintain business glossaries, metadata and data dictionaries so every team shares one understanding of key data.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to resolve data issues, apply governance policies and support scalable data solutions.
Compliance and Audit
- Support audits, regulatory requirements and compliance initiatives, including GDPR, CCPA and HIPAA where applicable, by preparing data documentation and evidence.
Reporting
- Build and deliver reports and dashboards that track data quality and governance KPIs, giving the business visibility and driving continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, data governance or data stewardship.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker.
- Hands-on experience with data profiling and quality assessment, and with building business glossaries, metadata and data dictionaries.
- A record of working with engineering and product teams to resolve data issues, and of supporting data governance audits and compliance initiatives.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA and DCAM, and knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA and HIPAA.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences.
LOCATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is an in-person role based in our Orlando, Florida office; the successful candidate must reside in, or relocate to, the Orlando area.
- Occasional shipboard travel when business requires.
- Office work in a climate-controlled environment, including extended periods at a desk and computer.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Offers are made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account job-related skills and experience. Our total rewards package includes:
Medical, dental and vision plans, an Employee Assistance Program and other mental health resources, and company-paid term life and disability insurance.
A 401(k) plan with a company match.
