Data Analyst/ Data Scientist (Insurance, Customer Analytic) 60k

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in traditional statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and machine learning to join our growing data team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, building predictive models, and delivering data-driven insights that support business decision-making.

Description

• Develop, validate, and deploy statistical and predictive models to solve business problems.
• Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Apply traditional data science techniques including regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, and hypothesis testing.
• Design and implement data preparation, feature engineering, and model evaluation processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Monitor model performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Support data quality, governance, and best practices across analytics initiatives.

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience in banking, insurance, financial services, retail, telecom, or other data-intensive industries.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Statistical Modelling, or a related field.
• Strong experience with traditional modelling techniques, such as
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and model development.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of model validation, feature selection, and performance optimization.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
